Momogi Officially Expands to the Middle East, Targets Global Snack Market

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Indonesian snack producer, PT Sari Murni Group, has officially expanded its international market for its flagship product, Momogi, by entering the Middle Eastern market.

Countries like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are the starting points for the local brand’s penetration into a region known for its high purchasing power and strong snack consumption culture.

Momogi products are already available in several modern retail chains in the region and are planned to be available soon on major e-commerce platforms like Noon, one of the key players in the digital channel in the Middle East.

Vice President of International Business Development for Sari Murni Group, Tuti Marlina, stated that this expansion is part of the company’s long-term strategy to make Momogi a global snack with a distinct Indonesian identity.

“The Middle Eastern market offers great potential. Besides having similar tastes to the Asian market, its people are also open to flavor innovations. We are bringing popular variants like roasted corn and cheese, and we continue to develop variants relevant to local preferences,” said Tuti in a statement on Monday (7/7).

The success of this expansion is also supported by Sumarlik, the President Director of Sari Murni Group, and the export team led by Muyassar Lidinilhaq, the International Business Manager. They emphasized the importance of collaborating with local distributors and adjusting distribution strategies based on the consumer characteristics in each target country.

As a form of commitment to international standards, all Momogi products marketed in the Middle East have global halal certification, use Arabic-language packaging, and comply with the food regulations in each destination country.
